Christophe Harbour is the largest fuel farm

The Marina at Christophe Harbour is the largest fuel farm in the Eastern Caribbean with a tank capacity of 48,000 US gallons.

The Marina at Christophe Harbour in St. Kitts has announced that its bunkering service is now available with a complimentary night to make operation as efficient as possible.

The new offering targets yachts that are gearing up for the end of season relocations and Atlantic crossings.

The complimentary night offer is valid until April 30, 2017 for any vessel making a minimum purchase of 3,000 gallons of fuel.

The Marina offers duty-free fuel that costs approximately 10 cents less per US gallon than the regional average. Its operators claim that visiting yachts are reporting one of the most efficient bunkering services they’ve experienced.

Aeneas Hollins, Christophe Harbour director of yachting, says: “When we say we’re ready to fuel at 0900hrs, we are ready to literally pump fuel at 0900hrs on the button.”

Commenting on the bunkering service, the senior captain from motoryacht Laurel, says: “Pulling into The Marina at Christophe Harbour with a 70m-plus motoryacht at 1600hrs and with guests onboard for a quick clear in and out while taking on fuel could not have gone smoother had we planned it in advance.

“The extra steps [the marina] staff took to permit us to keep to a very tight schedule were highly-appreciated.”

The capacity of the marina’s fuel tank is 48,000 US gallons. This enables the marina to offer 40,000 US gallons per day of in-slip fuelling for vessels, with up to 125 gallons per minute of Sol-supplied, ultra-low sulphur diesel.
