Global marina operator adds One Island Park to its portfolio. The new location marks a company milestone, as this is the first time for the company to offer its services to the South Florida market.
IGY Marinas has expanded its portfolio in Florida with the addition of One Island Park. The company has been appointed to oversee management and branding of the superyacht facility located in Miami Beach’s Terminal Island.
The new location marks a company milestone, as this is the first time for the company to offer its services to the South Florida market.
“Miami is one of the leading luxury yachting destinations in the United States, making this a significant achievement for our targeted growth strategy in Florida,” comments Tom Mukamal, IGY Marinas CEO.
“This exclusive Miami Beach superyacht facility not only allows IGY to showcase our unmatched services to the superyacht market, but also attract even larger vessels to the destination. IGY Marinas is excited about the year ahead, and we are thrilled to begin 2017 with a marina in South Florida.”
One Island Park – Miami Beach is said to boast the largest private purpose-built superyacht dock in the United States with the ability to accommodate vessels in excess of 222m (730ft-plus).
The company notes that five of IGY’s 15 locations can accommodate yachts over 91m-plus (3ooft-plus), which makes it a leader provider of superyacht berths in the Western Hemisphere.
In order to ensure a smooth transition into the IGY Marinas portfolio, the company has appointed Gili Wojnowich as general manager.
Wojnowich has served as operations manager for IGY Marinas corporate, providing direct support to the company’s executive team, assisting IGY’s facility general managers, and providing analysis and underwriting support on numerous business development, marina management and acquisition opportunities.
BWA Yachting is located on-site, serving as an exclusive yacht agent and concierge for support services to the vessels.
