Marina Genova Aeroporto (MGA) has announced the opening of a dock dedicated to superyachts. The new dock adds four moorings for yachts up to 130m and further two for 90m vessels in addition to the moorings for boats of up to 90m already available.
“Our dock offers the widest availability in the whole of the Mediterranean of moorings for superyachts,” comments Giuseppe Pappalardo, CEO of S.S.P. (Società Sviluppo Porti, the management company for the marina.
“Our marina can accommodate these large vessels with its provision of secure landings and high quality services which are a feature of our internationally acknowledged unique degree of competence.”
Marina Genova Aeroporto is known not only for its yachting facilities, but also increasingly as a key hub for boat sales.
Following the successful handling of the “Second Hand Boat Show”, the largest permanent salon of used boats in the Northern Mediterranean, MGA has announced the launch this winter of the “Superyacht Sale Program”, a series of commercial activities for international brokers to display at the marina large yachts on sale.
Marina Genova Aeroporto is located just 10 minutes from the city centre and five minutes from the international airport C. Colombo in Genoa.
MGA consists of three large marinas offering 500 berths of which 100 are for yachts from 30m to 130m. The site also houses exclusive shops dedicated to yachting and a range of other amenities including food outlets and restaurants.
This autumn, MGA will join SPHER NET IoT Network and Big Data technology for connected objects (Internet of Things), becoming the first entirely connected marina in the world, the company claims.
