Admiral C Force 50 ‘Ouranos’ built for a repeat client

Admiral, a brand of The Italian Sea Group, has delivered the 50m motoryacht Ouranos to her owner. The 164ft vessel is part of Admiral C Force fleet and was built for a repeat client.

The shipyard says the 50m Ouranos been awarded by RINA Classification Society as the most silent yacht ever certified in terms of noise and vibration levels (in terms of noise and vibration levels, within the ones featuring traditional engines and below 500 GT). “Indeed, she has got the score of 96 /100 within the Rina Comfort Class Classification,” reads a statement.

Ouranos has a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure with a total volume of 499gt. Her exterior lines are work of Jure Bukavec from Uniellé Yacht Design.

Commenting on the project, Bukavec says: “I believe we have succeeded in effectively solving the challenge of designing a 50m yacht with under 500 gross tonnage with a clean styling solution which shows that a design limitation can sometimes lead to a better and more innovative result.”

Ouranos will be cruising the Mediterranean this summer and will be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2016.

The Italian Sea Group is managed by entrepreneur Giovanni Costantino. The group operates with several sail and motor yacht brands including Admiral, Admiral Sail and Tecnomar. In addition, the company also operates the NCA and NCA Refit yard and provides hi-tech shipbuilding production and refitting services for yachts over 60m.

The shipyard covers an area of 100,000sq m and features several facilities including 11 sheds, 2,000m docks, 200m dry dock, and a total lifting capacity of 1,000 tonnes.
