Columbus Yachts has unveiled the new Oceanic Coupé line, designed in a tight collaboration with Giorgio Vafiadis & Associates for the Asian and US market.

The team wanted to create a yacht with a sporty and slightly aggressive look without compromising on internal space and guest comfort.

The first two models of the series are the 45m and the 50m. Both of them are all aluminum, semi-displacement yachts which the shipyard considers are a “crossover” of open yachts and more classic yachts with layouts of three or more decks.

The Oceanic Coupé models will be powered by twin MTU 12V4000 M93L engines, giving them a top speed of 21 knots, a cruising speed of 17 knots, and a range of 3,800 nm.

It will also be possible to add an electric propulsion option which will allow the yachts to navigate with very limited fuel consumption. This development has come from a collaboration with Siemens and means the yachts will be able to cruise with minimal noise and vibration.
