The 29m yacht is getting close to the delivery stage at the Chinese shipyard.


Heysea Yachts has announced the launch of Asteria 96, the first unit of its new 29m model touched the water on February 15. The new build is for a Chinese client and her design comes from the drawing board of Australian naval architect David Bentley.

In her standard layout, the Asteria 96 includes two guest cabins, a VIP cabin and a master cabin complete with walk-in closet, sofa and a large bathroom with basin and a large walk-in shower. The guest cabins can be configured either as doubles or with twin beds—simply by pressing a button.

Hull #1 of this 96-footer features two en-suite guest cabins, a master cabin and a media room. The media room is equipped with an advanced entertainment system and various amenities.

The yacht is powered by two 1136hp Caterpillar diesel engines for a top speed of 20 knots and cruising at 16 knots. Optional extras include a stabilisation system and an engine upgrade, which makes speeds of more than 28 knots possible.
