Overmarine says the Mangusta 165 E has given a huge commercial success for the Group

Italian shipyard Overmarine has announced the launch of the 11th unit of the Mangusta 165 E series. The 50m motoryacht touched the water on November 17 in Viareggio.

Unit no.11 features all the latest style and technical innovations. The yacht has more aggressive, muscular lines and a single pane of glass in the salon offers excellent visibility from the inside and lets in natural light. Also, a longer flybridge with an aesthetic grill astern gives the yacht even greater dynamic thrust.

The propulsion equipment comprises four 2600HP MTU 16V2000 M94 engines, four Rolls Royce/KameWa NP water jets and four Seakeeper stabilisers.

In addition, the yacht boasts a better weight/power ratio, modular functionality on request, optimised space in the engine room and greater efficacy.

“This all translates into a better performance and higher yields. Performances are similar to that which were achieved in the past, but consumption is considerably lower,” Overmarine says in a statement.

The shipyard also claims that the effectiveness of the stabilisation system is so high, even during navigation, that the yacht can even be used in displacement mode at a minimum speed of 8-10 knots, whilst those aboard will still enjoy total comfort.

This considerably increases the range of speeds at which the yacht can be used.

The interiors are completely customised and the fruit of a successful working relationship between the Group’s Artistic Office and the owner’s team.

The yacht will be delivered to his owner with an official ceremony in the New Year.

Hull no. 12, which has already been sold, is currently in the last stage of construction, and will be launched over the next few months.
