Turkish shipyard reports that hull #1 is completed 55% whilst construction of the second unit is at 25%.

Having just entered contract for a second 80-metre last month, Bilgin Yachts has announced that the construction of two units of Bilgin 156  motoryachts well. These are speculative projects of 48m.

Bilgin says that thanks to the advantage of working on sisterships of a new in-house developed series, the construction of these two Bilgin 156 is at fast rate and that the vessels are currently available for purchase.

Both projects are just below the 500gt threshold and can accommodate up to 11 guests in four guest cabins and large owner’s stateroom.

The shipyard has completed 55 percent of hull #1 of Bilgin 156. Basic equipment such as main engines and generators were installed while outfitting of the technical equipment is ongoing.

Furniture manufacturing is also nearing completion and some installation is under way while the painting process has reached the final coating stages.

The construction of hull #2 of this series has reached 25 percent with her steel hull and aluminium structure completed.

Bilgin has also reported that her painting process has started with the first layers of fairing.

The shipyard has scheduled the delivery of the first unit for late spring 2017, while the second hull is expected to be ready towards the end of 2017.

Exterior styling, naval architecture and structural engineering of the Bilgin 156 is by Unique Yacht Design. H2 Yacht Design has created the general arrangement and interior design for both projects.

Bilgin Yachts operates four shipyards covering 27,000sq m in the greater Istanbul area, with its headquarters based in Küçükçekmece.

The Küçükçekmece facility is a 7,000sq m shipyard with the capacity to build four projects simultaneously.
