Riva, the Italian shipyard part of the Ferretti Group, has presented images of Riva 100 Corsaro, its new 29.8m (98ft) project. The new flubridge yacht is currently under construction at the company shipyard in La Spezia. Riva says the new build was sold in Asia.
The 100 Corsaro results from the cooperation between Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee, the group’s engineering department and designer Mauro Micheli, co-founder of Officina Italiana, the design firm that has pencilled the entire Riva fleet.
“Riva is back in the flybridge segment,” says Stefano de Vivo, Ferretti Group’s CCO. “We are proud to announce at the upcoming Gold Coast Boat Show in Hong Kong that the first unit has been sold in Asia and is under construction at our La Spezia facility. It will be presented in September during our Private Preview in Monaco, a few days before its worldwide debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2016.”
The Riva 100 Corsaro features a wide body master stateroom, four lower deck suites and a large fully-customisable sundeck.
She is available with two engine configurations, both MTU 16V Series 2000. Owners can choose between twin M93 2435mhp or twin M94 2638mhp power units pushing the yacht to a cruising sped of 24.5ks and a maximum speed of 27.5 or to 25ks and 29ks, respectively, according to the preliminary data.
The Riva 100 Corsaro will be equipped with zero-speed and underway stabilising fins, which can be replaced by gyros upon request.
