The eighth edition of the annual Gulf Boating Conference will once again take place in Dubai on the morning of March 5, 2014. Organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre, owner and organiser of the Dubai International Boat Show, the conference will be staged at the boat show venue, the Dubai International Marine Club.
The event will be chaired by well-known Gulf boating personality Toby Haws and will feature four key presentations focused on the Gulf Boating market.
The first topic will be ‘Marketing Trends, How to reach the GCC audience’ presented by Wael Bittar, followed by ‘Waterfront Development Decisions, How not to do it’ by Paul Lane.
The third presentation will focus on the rules and regulations for boating in Dubai, which will be given by Nawfal Al Jourani from the Dubai Maritime City Authority, which is presently formulating improved regulations for all aspects of boating in Dubai.
The final presentation will be by SB‘s sister title IBI’s Middle East correspondent Mike Derrett, who will review the worldwide boating markets, customer trends since the global financial crisis and will focus on opportunities for the boating industry in the Middle East and surrounding regions.
The conference will conclude with four interactive workshops led by industry experts on yacht broking and dealerships, marina design and operation, boatbuilding and security.
