A new industry forum addressing timely human resource challenges has been organised by IBI and Superyacht Business magazines to take place in London on 4 September 2015.

Aimed at HR professionals working in the recreational marine industry, the seminar will address the critical issue of attracting and retaining employees in a highly competitive and fluid market.
The keynote address will be presented by Accenture partner Colin Sloman, who brings 20 years of experience as the head of the consulting firm’s Human Capital Strategy and Talent Practices, working across the globe from Australia to the US, Middle East, Russia, Europe as well as Africa.

Other topics on the agenda include “Practical Ways to Engage and Motivate your Talented Employees” presented by Jude Hartley, the Learning and Development Manager at Time Inc., as well as a group workshop on “Human Resources Role in Dealing with Change”, networking opportunities, and an introduction to a new Industry Salary and Benefits Survey being introduced by Nick Hopkinson, Publishing Director of the Marine Group at Time Inc. (UK).

The forum is part of a new initiative at the Time Inc. Marine Group, assisting marine companies with human resource challenges, including a recently launched service called IBI Jobs, a specialised job site for the international boat and superyacht sectors linking up industry vacancies with qualified prospects (www.ibi-jobs.com).

The HR forum is complimentary to industry HR professionals and will take place on 4 September 2015, from 11:15am to 5:00pm in London at IBI’s Time Inc. headquarters in the Blue Fin Building. The venue is located on the South Bank of the Thames, with easy access by all means of transport.
