ASMEX, the Australian Superyacht and Marine Export Industry Conference, is partnering with the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) for the fifth consecutive year.

“It’s a great event to have leading up to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, increasing exposure and excitement,” says Johan Hasser, sales, sponsorship and events manager of Mulpha Sanctuary Cove.

“As one of the leading marine export conferences in Australia, ASMEX is internationally renowned for its provision of quality information and exploration of potential issues and opportunities within the superyacht industry. It is very important that we continue to show our support within the industry and this conference is the perfect medium to do so.

“The ASMEX conference has gained significant momentum over the past four years attracting businesses from the marine export and superyacht sector with an even greater presence of international attendees anticipated this year.”

ASMEX will be held immediately prior to the boat show on the 19-20th May at the Intercontinental Hotel in Sanctuary Cove in Queensland, Australia.

Attendees are given opportunities to network with like-minded industry players, to work on developing relationships with potential customers and to strengthen relationships with their existing customer base.

The event will have a number of high-profile national and international industry speakers addressing a broad range of global issues and opportunities currently faced in the industry.

Speakers at 2014’s conference highlighted the importance of Australia continuing to promote a strong proposition as a superyacht destination; aiming to increase recognition and the number of superyachts visiting the country. It is crucial the extensive range of manufactured products and services available and the internationally reputable services and facilities are communicated to potential visitors.

A full programme of social events is included in the registration fee including the Australian Marine Export and Superyacht Awards Gala dinner sponsored by Club Marine, which acknowledges key businesses in the industry.
