amico3Italian superyacht refit and repair yard Amico is preparing to deliver two new yachts from its Genoa facilities this week.

The 86m (282ft) Oceanco 706 Seven Seas was re-launched three days ahead of schedule following a three-month refit that included an Awlgrip blue hull topside re-spray and other maintenance jobs.

The second yacht, the 62m (203ft) Codecasa Apogee, will dock next week after a three-month period inside Amico’s sheltered dry-dock facility. The refit included a new Alexseal topcoat re-spray. Again, the paint job was completed well in advance of the contracted schedule, allowing other  technical jobs to be completed with no interference. It will be re-delivered in time for the winter yachting season.

amico1“In the last three months we had 16 projects performed on board 50m-plus LOA yachts visiting our yard, and another 14 projects performed on yachts under 50m LOA,” says yard president Alberto Amico.

“Our clients are showing an increasing confidence in our capability and reliability, and thanks to the new 102m covered dry-dock (under construction, delivery August 2014), we will be able to offer an even more attractive shipyard organisation for managing more refits at the same time, up to 100m LOA and over.”
