Soma Bay is a large coastal resort on the Red Sea in Egypt with a variety of diverse luxury hotels, residential developments and stylish marina with 44 berths to accommodate vessels up to 40m.
Ahmed Dabbous, general manager of Abu Soma Development Company, said: “It is our objective to expand the number of our berths significantly to accommodate bigger boats and yachts and become an international destination that offers a unique home and vacation and Art Marinas was duly chosen to meet this goal.”
Bruno Meier, chief operating officer of Art Marine and head of the marina division, said: “Soma Bay is a beautiful holiday resort, and we are proud to have been selected for the refurbishment and management of its boutique marina. Like for all the marinas in our network, we will implement our high standards of operation, however, we will also create a unique “flavour” for the marina, and make it one of the most sought after destinations in the Red Sea.”
Meir also announced that he has added two new marinas to the Art Marine Marinas ‘Destinations’ network, Dinevi Marina on the Black Sea and, closer to home, Marina Bander Al Rowdha in Muscat, Oman.
The ‘Destinations’ network now has some 17 marinas as members in Asia and the Middle East including China, Malaysia, Maldives, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey and the UAE. Benefits in using marinas within the network extend to reciprocal membership for berth holders, discounted services and up to three days’ free berthing.
Art Marine Marinas is the leading marina management company in the Middle East. It operates a network of prestigious marinas in the UAE, Bahrain, and Turkey, and is also expanding in China, South East Asia, the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean.
