The organisers of the 2015 Asia Pacific Yachting Conference have just announced the programme for the two-day event, which takes place in advance of the Singapore Yacht Show in April.
According to the organisers, delegates at this year’s conference will hear from industry and business leaders who will share their journeys to achieving world-class performance in the superyacht industry, with presentations on industry best practices and case studies that will provide an insight into doing business in Asia.
With the ‘Towards World Class Theme’ in mind, the organisers have announced a programme of speakers which includes a presentation entitled ‘Is Asia’s ultra-wealthy population ready for the luxury yachting lifestyle?’ from Mykolas Rambus, CEO of Wealth-X, a market intelligence firm. The presentation will include findings from the Wealth-X and UBS World Ultra Wealth report and a special analysis of yacht ownership in Asia. Rambus has been a popular speaker at several previous conferences in Singapore. Speakers and panel presentations will focus on the growing destination markets of Indonesia and Thailand, together with a focus on developments in China.
The second day of the conference will see a split into strategic and technical streams with sessions on topics such as power and propulsion trends, security issues and strategic collaboration in the Asia Pacific region.
The 7th Asia Pacific Yachting Conference is organised by Singapore Yacht Events and supported by the Singapore Boating Industry Association. It takes place at the ONE°15 Marina Club in Singapore from April 21-22, preceding the Singapore Yacht Show which runs from April 23-26.
The Singapore Yacht Show has grown to be one the major yacht shows in Asia and this year’s show is expected to have over 100 yachts on display.
