Abell Point Marina in Airlie Beach, Australia, is to receive a A$10m facelift with a major dredging program set to begin next month.
Now under new ownership, the Whitsundays marina will also see improvements to shore-side infranstracture, including the extension of licensed cafes and restaurants, a community parkland, and an upgrade of guest facilities and amenities.
Abell Point Yacht Club will also be revived, along with the addition of two 60m (197ft) berths for superyachts.
Abell Point Marina was placed into receivership in September 2011. It was acquired by Australian billionaire Paul Darrouzet, former chairman of Foxleigh Mining, in mid-2013.
