In Cannes for the Yachting Festival with a fleet of 22 yachts, Italy’s Azimut-Benetti Group has unveiled four new models in a world premiere – the Azimut Grande 95 RPH, Azimut 77S, Azimut 50 Fly as well as the 33m Benetti Tradition 108.

Group CEO Ferruccio Luppi said that the “largest private group yacht builder in Europe” has increased turnover by 8% to €650m. “We’re back to growth after two difficult years,” said Luppi, adding that his group delivered 250 yachts this year – 97% of production for the export market.

Benetti Yachts sold eight yachts this year, four 125ft Vivace models and four 140ft Veluces. “The world is setting its sights on bigger and bigger yachts,” said Vicenzo Poerio, CEO of the Benetti brand.

He said that a 90m yacht would be delivered in 2015 and that sales contracts for two 100m-plus yachts had been completed a few weeks ago.
