Baglietto has announced that it has signed a contract for the sale of a 46m (151ft) steel and aluminium displacement hull yacht. The signing comes shortly after the order for a 54m (177ft) yacht. The new client is Eastern European and will take delivery of the yacht in early 2015.
The yacht, which has been designed by architect Francesco Paszkowski, is already at an advance stage of construction at the La Spezia shipyard. It features a large beach club and interiors are said to be of substantial volume. The yacht will host a 5.5m dinghy as well as a rescue boat and a jet-ski.
Two 3512B Caterpillar engines will propel the yacht to a maximum speed of approximately 17 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots, with an actual range of 4,500 miles. The yacht falls within the 500 GT category and will be classified in the top class of the American Bureau of Shipping and in compliance with MCA Standards.
Besides the 54m yacht, Baglietto is also building a 46m sistership that will be presented at next season’s boat shows, and a 61m yacht; a 43m and a 46m are currently under construction, and a 38m is at the design stage.
