Baltic Yachts in Jakobstad, Finland signed a contract for a 35m (115ft) cruising yacht ahead of this year’s Monaco Yacht Show.
Work on the new Baltic 115 will begin in December, with delivery scheduled for autumn 2015.
Nauta Design is in charge of the exterior styling and interior design, with hull lines coming from Judel/Vrolijk. The yacht will have a full carbon sandwich construction and be equipped with a lifting keel.
Based in Ostrobothnia on Finland’s west coast, Baltic builds high-performance custom sailing yachts of up to 61m (200ft)-plus. In March the company was sold to German orthopaedic prosthetics firm OttoBock, which acquired an 80 per cent share of the firm.
