Italian shipyard Benetti, part of the Azimut-Benetti Group, has appointed Fabrizio Scerch as country manager Americas at Azimut-Benetti USA Inc. The appointment is part of a larger reorganisation plan aimed at strengthening attention on strategic international markets, with a particular focus on sales and aftersales.
Scerch will be in charge of sales, marketing and customer satisfaction, with the objective of strengthening relationships with the network of brokers and enhancing customer service as well as ‘lifetime customer care’ processes.
With a degree in mechanical engineering from La Sapienza University in Rome and a master’s degree in business administration, Scerch has more than 15 years’ experience in sales and marketing at major multinational brands in the automotive and shipbuilding sectors.
Tommaso Bilotta will maintain his role as area manager Americas, with responsibility for coordinating the sales activities for the Americas, whereas the Benetti sales department will remain in the hands of Alberto Perrone da Zara.
“The United States, and the Americas in general, are key markets for Benetti and the international experience of Fabrizio Scerch allows us to take an important step forward in Benetti’s policy to oversee the areas with the highest growth rate,” says Vincenzo Poerio, Benetti CEO.
