Ami Ira takes on the role of president of Bluewater USA

Bluewater, an international yacht services provider, has announced the opening of an office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The company has appointed Ami Ira to the role of president of Bluewater USA and Brian Luke has been named sales broker.

In addition, the teams at CU Yacht Charters, Crew Unlimited (CU) and International Crew Training (ICT) are also joining the Bluewater family.

Commenting on the news, Ira says: “The combination of our companies and talents is so exciting for us, as we have worked with and admired the Bluewater team for years.

“It feels like ‘coming home’ for me, as I know their people, their work ethic, beautiful brand, and desire to deliver a top quality service matches ours.  What we will achieve by working together, will surely improve the yacht ownership experience, which is the end goal.”

Charter and crew training specialist

Bluewater offers a complete range of yacht services, including brokerage, charter, crew recruitment, management and training.

In addition to the new office in Florida, the company has offices in Antibes, London, Moscow, Miami, Palma and Zug.

Brian Luke joined International Crew Training in 2008 as senior instructor and examiner, before being named chief operations officer in 2013 and president in 2016.

Luke has an extensive experience within the yachting industry, as well as previous roles as both a maritime captain and an airline pilot.

“I am delighted to be joining the Bluewater team. From the training side I am very excited that our students will not only have more opportunity across the globe for high-level training, but now we can offer them crew placement through the most unique service in our industry,” he concludes.
