Ince & Co has boosted its Monaco team to meet the demands of shipping, yacht, offshore energy and international trade clients in Monaco, the Mediterranean and West African regions.
Partner Kevin Cooper and Senior associate Estelle Pattard join the team from Ince’s London office, where they have advised on shipping, marine pollution, energy, international trade, international commercial disputes and anti-corruption/fraud issues.
Kevin joined Ince’s London office in 2000, becoming a partner in 2007. Over the years he has worked in both the firm’s London and Shanghai offices, and his experience embraces the inter-related disciplines of shipping, yachts, marine insurance, offshore and international trade law. Having previously served at sea in the British Navy, his practice includes handling marine and offshore casualties and he also advises shipping companies and insurers with worldwide operations on anti-corruption policies and procedures.
He was recognised as a leading shipping and maritime lawyer by Who’s Who Legal 2012 and was identified as a “Rising Star in Shipping” by Superlawyers Magazine in 2013. He is also Editor of Getting the Deal Through’s Shipping Annual Report and contributes the English law section. Dual-qualified as a solicitor and a barrister, he speaks French, German and Mandarin, and is learning Italian.
Estelle advises on a wide range of commercial international trade and shipping disputes covering charterparties, cargo claims, ship sale and purchase, shipbuilding contracts and yachting. She also covers marine pollution from ships and off-shore energy work and is familiar with fraud issues. Estelle joined Ince’s London office in 2004. A native French speaker, she studied law and graduated from universities in both France and England.
