The product, which the company says delivers fast and cost effective internet, can be used to compliment existing VSAT as a stand alone shore side internet solution. With typical speeds of 20Mb/s download and 4Mb/s upload available at a fraction of the cost of the VSAT, C-Connect offers guests and crew high speed, high quality internet without the bandwidth limitations of VSAT or complications of connecting shoreside ADSL.

Channel 28 says the compact C-Connect satellite dish is easy to deploy and operate and comes complete as a cased system for easy stowing. A single cable connects back to the below decks equipment and alignment is performed using audible tones at the dish. Coverage is provided throughout Europe using new generation Ka band spot beam technology.  For full integration with bandwidth management, VSAT and GSM systems, Channel 28 provide consultancy and design packages using various industry standard platforms including Kerio, Cisco and other partner products.
