Pride Mega Yachts, the Chinese superyacht yard formerly known as Pride Yachts, has invested RMB20m (US$3.2m) in a new manufacturing facility in Yantai in order to enhance build capacity and quality.

The new 4,800sq m building includes new workshops for electrical, carpentry, paint, stainless steel work and storage areas. Offices for design, project management and the owner’s team are located on the top floor, overlooking the production area. Currently in-build at the new yard is the 88.8m Illusion.

“The new RMB20m investment provides a boost to increase both capacity and efficiency of our superyacht building activities,” says Pride director Itay Simhony. “This gives our regular workforce a much better and fully climate-controlled environment to work in. It also helps us with the training of new staff.

“Most importantly the new state-of-the-art facility will make it possible for us to deliver great quality to our customers.”

Pride Mega Yachts is the global brand name of CIMC Raffles Yacht, the superyacht division of CIMC Raffles in Yantai, China. The company changed its name from Pryde Yachts at the 2013 Monaco Yacht Show to better reflect its megayacht-building activities.
