CRN has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with a Chinese client for a 68 metre (223ft) superyacht, which will become the largest vessel ever sold by CRN and Ferretti Group in China.
The document was signed on 14 January in Weifang and was carried out in the presence of Tan Xuguang, chairman of Weichai Group and Ferretti Group; representatives of Weichai Group senior management; Lamberto Tacoli, chairman and CEO of CRN; Alessandro Tirelli, Ferretti Group Asia-Pacific sales director. Xu Xinyu, executive president of Weichai Group and Ferretti Group, hosted the signing ceremony.
CRN and the Ferretti Group have found the support given by the Weichai Group has given a competitive advantage and the delivery of the vessel, slated for 2017, marks significant inroads into the Chinese market.
The yacht, which has been created by Zuccon International Project, will be 68 metres long and has a beam of 12.5 metres. It will be a fully custom build made out of steel and aluminium.
One of the distinctive features of the new vessel is the innovative floodable garage, which allows the tender to enter the water without using a crane. Introduced for the first time by CRN on 60 metre J’Ade, and exhibited for the first time at the Monaco Boat Show, the innovation is now being applied to a vessel of larger dimensions. The garage transforms a technical space into a new living area with a beach that the owner’s family and guests can enjoy.
