Stefano de Vivo has been named chief commercial officer of Italy’s Ferretti Group. The appointment is part of Ferretti’s consolidation/relaunch plan that focuses on the design and construction of new product ranges, as well as on the implementation of new business and marketing strategies thanks to the contribution of “young, motivated and experienced managers,” reads a Ferretti statement.
De Vivo, 36, began his career at Riva where he worked in various roles including project manager, world aftersales manager and Greater China and Asia Pacific manager. He later served as sales & marketing director and vice president of sales at Benetti and has provided consultancy for several top international firms such as Desigual Asia Pacific and the Volkswagen Group in Hong Kong.
De Vivo will report directly to Alberto Galassi, who replaced Ferruccio Rossi as CEO of the Ferretti Group last month.
“I decided to go for a young manager in whom I strongly believe, a professional who trained at the Riva school and then built up great international experience in the nautical world,” says Galassi. “Stefano will be able to give an important contribution to the growth of the Ferretti Group, concentrating on our main aim: building and selling the most beautiful boats in the world.”
Ferretti is an Italian builder of luxury motoryachts under the Ferretti, Riva, Pershing, Itama, Bertram, Mochi Craft and CRN brands. In 2012, Ferretti was acquired by China’s Weichai Group.
