Front Street Shipyard, a US boatbuilding, repair and full-service facility in Belfast, Maine, has teamed up with Setzer Yacht Architects to develop design documentation for a new range of motoryachts.
Featuring four new designs from 28m-40m (92ft-131ft), the series is an offshoot of Setzer’s broader 2014 portfolio of New American Motoryachts – a collection of over 18 new concepts from studio president Ward Setzer. Included in the new series is a 28m Modern Commuter, a 34m Flushdeck RPH, a 38m Modern Explorer and a 40m Vintage Tri-Deck.
The yachts will be designed by Setzer and marketed for construction at Front Street Shipyard in Belfast, Maine.
“Setzer’s New American Motoryacht series represents the direction we at Front Street Shipyard see the US superyacht industry moving,” says JB Turner, president of Front Street Shipyard. “Based on our conversations with existing clients, yacht brokers and industry representatives, we believe Setzer’s concepts capture the desires of owners, captains and charter clients.”
Front Street Shipyard is a boatbuilding, repair and full-service facility that offers dockage, repairs and winter storage for boats of up to 49m (160ft) in length. It boasts 1,500ft of watefront, with a deep-water marina and hauling capacity for boats of up to 485 tonnes.
