Future Fibres LLC, the US-based arm of the Future Fibres rigging business, has moved its design office to central Newport, Rhode Island. The compay says the move is a great step closer to the action alongside the other leading marine businesses nearby.
The new office is based in the recently renovated Mill Building on Thames St in downtown Newport, also home to the International Yacht Restoration School and North Sails.
Sam Watson, Future Fibres CEO, comments: “Its been a busy 12 months following the acquisition of Future Fibres by Southern Spars last year. Earlier this year we moved all the Valencia production into our ISO 9001 ECsix manufacturing facility, in the process doubling its size. In late July we opened a new ECsix service operation in Valencia, reducing turnaround times and improving support for our EU based customers. This latest shift sees our US design team move to the heart of Newport. From here we’re closer to our customers and closer to our colleagues in the marine industry.”
Following the move Future Fibres continues to operate from two sites in Valencia, Spain and the new design office in Newport, Rhode Island. The new address for the US design office is below. Phone and fax numbers continue to be the same.
