Dutch shipyard Hakvoort has secured an order for a 38.25m 360gt displacement motoryacht. The yacht will feature retrospective styling with flared V-sections in the bow, large overhangs, a moderate deadrise amidships and a canoe stern. She will be suitable for global bluewater cruising and will provide accommodation for nine guests and seven crew members.

Naval architecture and exterior styling has been provided by Diana Yacht Design with Felix Buytendijk contributing the interior design. The yacht, which will be built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, will cruise at 11 knots with a top speed of 13 knots.

The accommodation is made up of an owner’s master stateroom on the main deck, with seven guests in two double guest rooms and one VIP stateroom, accommodation for seven crew members in three cabins and separate captain’s cabin on bridge deck.

Hakvoort has spent significant investment in improving its facilities and it can now build up to 65m with two enclosed and temperature-controlled docking and construction halls. There is also a metal workshop, a dedicated office complex and a large quayside operation.

Also under construction at the yard is 63.3m motoryacht YN249, due for delivery in 2017, and 61m motoryacht YN248 to be delivered in 2015.
