The Italian Sea Group, owner of the Admiral and Tecnomar yacht brands, is moving its headquarters from Massa to Carrara, Tuscany, in January 2014.

The Italian Sea Group also owns the Cantieri Nuovi Apuania (CAN) refit yard in Marina di Carrara, which was acquired by Admiral Tecnomar chairman Giovanni Costantino earlier this year.

Established in 1942, the Carrara site boasts over 100,000sq m of production space – 30,000sq m of which is used for refitting. It has 18 construction sheds and a floating barge for yachts of up to 85m (280ft), a 200m dry dock, and a lifting capacity of 1,000 tonnes.

A 3,000sq m corporate head office contains a 500sq m art gallery, bar and restaurant, and virtual cinema.

The Italian Sea Group says that 10 yachts of up to 55m (180ft) have been sold and are under construction, brining the total cumulative length to 500m (1,640ft). Five yachts are due for delivery in the summer of 2014 – an Admiral Impero 37, Admiral Maxima 47, Admiral Regale 45, Admiral Custom 35 and Tecnomar Nadara 40.
