The port of Gibraltar is well known for being a convenient and economical stop for refuelling yachts, superyachts en route from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean and vice versa. JDYS is looking to provide first-class support to the yachting industry during these calls, offering the widest range of services available in Gibraltar.

“Having been watching the yachting industry grow in Gibraltar over the last few years JDYS feel there is a need for an agency service dedicated purely to the yachting industry that can attend to all the requests from the captain,” Hammond explains.

Superyacht destination

Gibraltar has an average 300 days of sun per year so the weather is generally favourable and with two marinas available, berths can also be arranged for that overnight or longer stay.

Commenting on Gibraltar as a yachting destination, Hammond says: “With an abundance of bars and restaurants there will always be something for everyone. JDYS services range from the very basic clearing of vessels with the port and customs to provisions, stores, underwater cleaning/inspections, spares receipt/delivery and much more.
