The Jongert Performance Line is a new range from the Dutch builder which has evolved from the Modern Line. Jongert has published details of its latest project, the 3200P on its website. The 32 metre 3200P has been designed with sleek lines intended for competitive and long distance sailing. The 3200P, in build at the moment, will be the first of the new range of performance yachts that the yard says combines “stylish design, excellent performance levels and the distinctive Jongert standards of comfort and quality”. The performance line will eventually be consisting of a 28, 32, 36 and 40 metre version.
Rhoades Young is responsible for the exterior and interior design. The hull lines are drawn by renowned designer Doug Peterson who has a long and highly successful history of working with Jongert.
The shipyard has placed a keen emphasis on innovation with the 3200P featuring a lifting keel and performance-oriented hull shape. The yard hope that future owners will race and excel at superyacht regattas. Another innovative feature is the ingenious transformer which provides safe and easy access to shore while it also functions as a swimming platform.
The interior will be tailored to each individual client with a layout that includes a full-beam owner’s suite featuring an aft-facing bed that provides views to the horizon and gives access to a private beach deck. There are symmetrical guest cabins and an open plan lower saloon and dining area, with room for a third guest cabin. The open plan layout of the deck saloon with large glass doors provides instant access to the cockpit. All the areas fuse into one large and spacious area full of natural light.
