The Crew Academy has announced that professional hospitality educator Lynne Edwards will be joining the training team from 18 January 2016. She will be part of The Crew Academy’s exclusive set of specialist trainers and educators in the capacity of in-house interior trainer.
After qualifying in Hotel Catering and Management in Oxford and teaching the subject for a while, Edwards began her career in yachting in the early ’90s, spending several years at the upper end of the superyacht fleet running the interior department on several yachts. She also has experience in the yacht-related and villa management sectors working with UHNW clients.
From Yacht Service Levels 2 and 3 to Food Safety in Catering Awards 2 and 3, as well as expertise in training in villa concierge, management and villa representation in the Alpes Maritimes, Edwards has extensive practical experience in all aspects of interior management, including departmental budgets, work rotas, acquisitions as well as supplier and staff management.
“I am very much looking forward to working with Lynne and her expertise. Her knowledge and passion for impeccable service, as well as the industry as a whole, is inspiring and I believe I speak for The Crew Academy’s entire team when I say we can’t wait for her to join us,” says chairman Andrew Roch.
Lynne Edwards will also be responsible for the launch of the Food Safety in Catering Awards 2 and 3.
