Moon Maiden II re-launches at Solent Refit facility in the UK

UK’s Solent Refit has re launched Moon Maiden II. The classic 38m motoryacht touched water today.

Built in 1975, Moon Maiden II (ex Yildiz 10) has been a busy charter yacht. and one-time movie star when she was featured in the James Bond film ‘The Living Daylights’ in 1987. However she was found by her current owner in a run down state.

At first glance the work needed to bring her back to her former glory looked as though it may not be viable to undertake in the Mediterranean.

A successful solution to renovate and refit the vessel was found at the Solent Refit facility in Southampton.

Moon Maiden II has been at Solent Refit and undergone an extensive refit, and engine room renovation. Works included new decks, hull and superstructure paint.

She is ready to leave Solent Refit to go back to the Mediterranean to begin her 2015 season.
