Dutch superyacht-builder Claasen Shipyards has announced that the construction of a new Truly Classic 126 (TC126) is nearing completion at Bloemsma Aluminiumbouw in Makkum. Construction began in the summer of 2013.
Designed by Hoek Naval Architects, the new 38m sailing yacht will be the largest in Claasen’s Truly Classic range and is being built in accordance with MCA LY2 regulations. This allows it to feature in competitive sailing races as well as being used privately or for charter.
The hull of the TC126 was turned by Bloemsma several weeks ago and will soon be transported to Claasen’s yard in Zaandam, where it will be finished for delivery in 2015.
Claasen also has two Truly Classic 90s under construction, and will soon start the build of a new J-Class.
