The London Yacht, Jet & Prestige Car Show is being launched this month and is set to be held at the Old Billingsgate fish market which is now converted into a quality exhibition venue. The new event is being organised by Southampton-based Helford Point Ltd, a company that is said to have a number of influential shareholders.
The organisers are saying that many leading superyacht builders have already signed up for the event or will shortly do so. This includes several SYBAss members and others such as Lürssen, Blohm + Voss, Nobiskrug, Columbus Yachts, Ferretti, Sanlorenzo, Azimut-Benetti, Sunseeker, Fincantieri, Baglietto, Kingship, Pendennis, Sunrise and Westport.
Leading brokers such as Burgess, Ocean Independence and Edmiston are also participating, with others expected to join in. There is a possibility of having a deep-water pontoon in front of Old Billingsgate to potentially be used by a small number of large superyachts. A number of others will be berthed at St Katharine’s docks.
The show is being promoted under a motto of ‘Luxury Without Limits’ and it is meant to emphasise the wealth of the city of London and the fact that many superyacht owners spend time in England’s capital city as well as make use of the many related large entities such as brokers, designers, financial and insurance institutions, legal teams and many others.
The event is scheduled to run from April 8-10, 2015.
