The organiser of the new luxury lifestyle London Yacht, Jet & Prestige Car Show (LYJPCS), which opens tomorrow and runs until 10 April, anticipates that it will see 5,000 visitors.

The new event, which is proposed to emphasise London’s leading role in the superyacht market as well as other luxury sectors, is based at the Old Billingsgate, the former London fish market, and St Katherine’s docks.

A strong marketing campaign has resulted in LYJPCS attracting well over 100 exhibitors excluding media partners that have not taken stands.

The on-water show at St Katherine’s docks include 13 crafts  of which the largest is a 29.9m (98ft) Princess 98. Two other Princess yachts plus others from Fairline, Bavaria, Fleming, Gunfleet,  Oyster and Hallberg Rassy make up the on-water show along with other craft from Ribeye and Wessex Marine.

Of the exhibitors over 70 are yacht or superyacht related. Included are many of the world’s leading superyacht builders Azimut-Benetti, Ferretti, Lürssen, Sanlorenzo, CNB, Nautor Swan, Blohm+Voss, Nobiskrug, Abeking & Rasmussen, Amels, Fincantieri, Sunseeker, Pendennis, Sunrise, Princess, Gulf Craft, Icon, Holland Jachtbouw, Oyster and Soraya Yachts.

Smaller builders include Fairline, Bavaria, Discovery, Hardy, Ocea, Outer Reef, Spirit Yachts and Solaris.

Leading brokers include Burgess, Camper & Nicholson International, Frasers and Cecil Wright. Among the designers are Design Unlimited and Dixon Yacht Design and ER Yacht Design. These are supported by several companies active in various yacht related areas such as Porto Adriatica Marina Compass Tenders, Peters & May and Glyn Peter Machin.

Middle East yacht builder Gulf Craft was one of the most recent builders to sign up for LYJPCS. CEO Erwin Bamps commented: “As a major financial hub and the millionaire capital of the world, London is a natural choice for an event dedicated to the luxury market and we are delighted to support the establishment of what we believe will fast become a fixture on the international event calendar. The London Yacht, Jet & Prestige Car Show offers an ideal platform for Gulf Craft to connect with our international customers ahead of the European season, update them on our latest offerings, and brief them on our original approach to yachting.”
