Renaud Jourdon, former manager of the Cannes Yacht Show in France, has been appointed show manager of the 2014 Antibes Yacht Show. Jourdon will be based in Cannes and Antibes, in the heart of the Côte d’Azur.
“I am very happy to resume the management of the show, which I know very well, having managed it already in 2008 for its second edition,” says Renaud. “I am eager to take up the challenge and to join the Antibes Yacht Show team, with whom I’ve enjoyed a great relationship over the years.”
Before creating his own communications and events agency and becoming a magazine correspondent, Renaud spent two years as manager of the Cannes Yacht Show and served as editor-in-chief of Yachts and Yachts International magazines.
A statement from the Antibes show team says: “We have known Renaud for years as a person who is well-respected by industry professionals. Our objective is to work with him to continue developing the show as the main event in the yachting calendar for brokerage. His knowledge of the international market and his experience will be very useful to help the Antibes Yacht Show realise its full potential.”
The Antibes Yacht Show is the only international brokerage and charter show to take place before the beginning of the season in the Mediterranean. In 2013, the event attracted more than 15,000 visitors and over 200 exhibitors.
The 2014 Antibes Yacht Show is scheduled to run from April 23-26 in Port Vauban, Antibes.
