Oceda SA is a new yacht agency and services firm. The company has been established with the strategic objective of delivering higher quality services to yacht owners in Greece, SB’s sister title IBI reports.

The company is a subsidiary of a leading Greek business group with diverse interests in shipping, banking and oil. It is linked with a London-based equity company controlled by the group.

Oceda is headquartered in Marousi in the north of Athens, where several of its Greek yacht owner clients both live and work. The company is also setting up an office in Mykonos.

The range of services are geared to international yacht owners, however Oceda may also work with them in such areas as management. Jennifer Timinis, Oceda’s managing director, has revealed that the company has a network of partners/technicians that are able to cover most demands likely to come from yachts cruising in Greek waters.

In addition, through Oceda’s contacts with Port Police Authorities and Customs, it can help over the difficulties of local bureaucracy including all paperwork for entry and departure rules, and customs and immigration procedures for visiting yachts. Provisioning, concierge and bunkering are services that Oceda can also provide.

Oceda is also setting up Greek branch offices for four charter yachts, which needs to be completed in time for the start of the season. Setting up a Greek branch office is a necessary requirement in order for EU-flagged yachts to be able to charter lawfully in Greece.

Oceda is a sister company of Tethys Equity SA, which is currently developing two new marina projects in Greece.
