Italy’s Palumbo Group has announced the acquisition of a site in Tenerife. The new facility in the Canary Islands (Spain) expands the services of Palumbo Superyachts. The company says the new location is part of a plan to strengthen growth outside the Mediterranean basin.

The Tenerife site joins the sites in Messina, Malta and Marseille under the Palumbo Superyachts brand. The new facility is equipped with telescopic cranes in the 20-, 50-, 100-, 300-tonne mark.

In addition, the group has announced that Daniela Spinelli has taken on the role of marketing and communications manager. She will be focused on building brand awareness, developing all the brands that fall under Palumbo’s Group.

Commenting on the appointment Giuseppe Palumbo, the group CEO, says: “We will promote our in-house expertise together with the considerable eco friendly approach in new construction and superyacht refit areas. We will remain client-oriented and our products will be more and more technology oriented.

“We have ambitious marketing goals for the future, which require an empowered marketing division. Malta, Marseille and Monaco will have locally assigned resources to follow local activities. Palumbo headquarters will remain in Naples,” he concludes
