Premier Marinas Ltd, one of the UK’s biggest marina groups, has acquired Gosport-based repair and refit yard Endeavour Quay for an undisclosed sum.

Endeavour Quay Ltd was founded in 2006 when Marina Projects Ltd took over Camper & Nicholsons’ former site in Gosport, on the western shore of Portsmouth Harbour.

The business has been successfully run over the last nine years, with a 180-tonne travel hoist and three large boat sheds serving an international market. The company focuses on the private large yacht market, commercial vessels, race yachts and superyachts.

Endeavour Quay also lies adjacent to Premier’s Gosport Marina and offers one of the largest boatyard facilities on the south coast.

“It is great news that Premier Marinas can now include the Endeavour Quay boatyard operation as part of our portfolio,” says Premier CEO Pete Bradshaw. “It is a fantastic addition and testament to the professionalism that exists within the Marina Projects’ team.

“It significantly increases the offering to our berth holders and visitors and fits neatly alongside our Portsmouth Harbour marinas operation with Gosport and Port Solent,” he adds.

Premier Marinas owns and operates eight marinas on Britain’s south coast. Locations include Eastbourne, Brighton, Chichester, Southsea in Langstone Harbour, Gosport and Port Solent in Portsmouth Harbour, Swanwick on the Hamble, and Falmouth.

Endeavour Quay will continue to serve its existing customers and will provide additional boatyard facilities for Premier customers, trading as Premier Endeavour Quay.
