Italian superyacht builder Sanlorenzo has announced the appointment of Ferruccio Rossi as its new president/general manager. Rossi will report to Massimo Perotti, Sanlorenzo chairman, who has decided to enlist a highly skilled and experienced manager in order to strengthen and improve the Sanlorenzo position in the global market.
“I am very glad to join the Sanlorenzo shipyard,” said Rossi,” a growing company with a prestigious tradition and a very important potential. I have a great respect for the achievements that Massimo Perotti’s team reached in the last decade, despite the difficult economy that affected the yachting industry. We both share the same vision in terms of innovation and tradition. I am happy to bring my personal and professional contribution to the consolidation and the further development plans of Sanlorenzo.”
Following his degree in Business Administration at Bocconi University in Milan, Rossi worked in investment banking and private equity in firms such as JP Morgan and Permira Funds. From 2001 to 2005 Rossi was on the Board of Directors of Ferretti and Grandi Navi Veloci Spa and in mid-2005 he was appointed managing director and CEO of Riva Spa. Since then, and for the following nine years, he has covered increasingly critical positions within the Ferretti Group, reaching the role of Group CEO in mid-2012.
Fulvio Dodich, former Sanlorenzo CEO, has left his role due to family reasons. Dodich will maintain his position within Sanlorenzo’s Board of Directors as well as work in new projects.
