The Italian superyacht builder is forecasting turnover of more than €300m in 2016 on the delivery of 30 motoryachts. The news comes as Sanlorenzo celebrated the launch of its 11th SD112 model.
Italian superyacht builder Sanlorenzo is forecasting turnover of more than €300m in 2016 on the delivery of 30 motoryachts – a significant rise over the €22m in turnover recorded last year. EBITDA in 2016 is expected to reach €24m with a profit of more than €10m.
The news comes as Sanlorenzo celebrated the launch of its 11th SD112 model, a 34.1m custom fibreglass navetta with semi-displacement hull. The launch took place at the Sanlorenzo shipyard in Viareggio in the presence of her owner, who came for the occasion with his family and friends from Belgium.
2016 also saw the shipyard’s expansion, thanks to the acquisition of the Cantieri San Marco production site in La Spezia. The Sanlorenzo Superyacht facility is now focused on the design and construction of superyachts, in metal, from 40m-80m.
Today Sanlorenzo is based at three production sites in Ameglia, Viareggio and La Spezia, and offers four model ranges – the SL, SD, SX (that will debut at Cannes 2017) and SY (Sanlorenzo Superyacht).
Sanlorenzo has been ranked second in ShowBoats International’s global order book since 2014. In 2016, its number two position remained intact with 54 new projects and 1,891m under construction.
