Organisers of the 2014 Australian Superyacht and Marine Export Conference (ASMEX) have confirmed a number of key speakers for next year’s event, including Ron Japinga of West Marine, John Lu of Horizon Yachts, Farouk Nefzi of Feadship, Erwin Bamps of Gulf Craft and Carlos Vidueira of Rybovich Superyacht Marina & Refit.

Held from May 20-21 at Sanctuary Cove’s Intercontinental Hotel in Queensland, Australia, the event will also host the 2014 Australian Marine Export and Superyacht Awards Gala Dinner.

The conference is being organised by the Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) and Superyacht Australia, and will take place immediately prior to the 2014 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

“We have secured a number of really excellent national and international speakers which will ensure delegates get an up-to-date overview of what is happening globally, provide excellent networking opportunities and assist businesses in formulating their 2014/15 strategy to drive sales,” says AIMEX CEO MaryAnne Edwards.

AIMEX is the peak body for the Australian marine export industry, which generates over $A1.2bn a year for the national economy. Its primary purpose is to develop and promote Australia’s marine industry worldwide.
