Amsterdam RAI, organiser of the 2014 ICOMIA World Marinas Conference (WMC) in Istanbul, Turkey, has released the list of speakers for this year’s event.
From June 2-4, more than 40 experts will present their views to delegates, including Gary Groenewold of Westrec Marinas, Matthew Bate of the Dogus Marinas Group and Julian Goldie of the Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA).
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Marinas into the future’. In addition to the wide-ranging line-up of speakers, the event will be a must-attend platform for marina processionals that value the latest marina product developments and innovations.
The main topics will be the state of the global marina industry, and the emerging markets of the Eastern Med, Black Sea, Middle East, Asia and South America. Breakout sessions will provide delegates with the opportunity to learn about and discuss marina management and operational practices, revenue maximisation concepts and the benefits of marina classification.
“The ICOMIA Marinas Group has held events across Europe, the US, Australia and Asia,” says chairman Roberto Perocchio. “Now, for the first time, the renowned ICOMIA World Marinas Conference is going to be held in the eastern Mediterranean. As the connecting link between east and west, Istanbul has a rare advantage in the global marinas industry. The conference promises to be the best to date since our first edition in 1993.”
The 2014 ICOMIA World Marinas Conference runs from June 2-4 at Swissotel The Bosphorus in Istanbul.
