Yachting specialist firm By Tourist has announced that a number superyacht captains will be attending the fourth edition of its fam trip in Naples.

The event is scheduled to run from November 25 to December 3 and follows on from the event held in spring this year dedicated to international yacht brokers and press.

Running to its fourth edition, this week’s event will be dedicated exclusively to superyacht captains and includes specialized training opportunities, visits to superyacht facilities and a programme of cultural activities.

With partners, the Luise Group, leader in agency services in Italy, and the Palumbo Shipyard, both based in Naples, this event will also showcase  companies operating in the nautical sector in Campania.

By Tourist says that amongst those companies is MV Marine, an RIB manufacturer that is pushing the boundaries of design with an innovative line of superyacht tenders.

 The programme

International superyacht captains attending the event will discover the Neapolitan peninsula and also Castellammare di Stabia to discover what the territory offers, including shipyards, technical expertise and expert artisans working on yacht refit.

The trip will also provide captains an opportunity to learn about new opportunities for anchorage and berthing along the coast.

In addition, participants will visit the protected areas of Punta Campanella & Ischia to learn more about exclusive excursions for their owners and guests.

The opening weekend will include visits of the historic centres of Naples and Sorrento, private guided tours of historical sites and museums, and a taste of culinary highlights of this region from the traditional Neapolitan pizza to Michelin starred cuisine.

Also on the calendar will be exclusive visits to high-ticket brands in the area such as Brunello Cucinelli and Bulgari.

A number of guests have already confirmed their participation including captains representing yachts of prominent Heads of State and well-known Russian and Italian superyacht owners.

With a 30% increase in superyacht visits to the area in 2016 from the previous season, the VIP high-end tourism sector in the region is strengthening their partnerships with the nautical sector to support the superyacht industry in the region.
