Tankoa Yachts has revealed that it has been working on its first 80m concept. S801 is a design based on an 80 metre long platform, extendable to 88 metres. She will have a beam of 13.5 metres, with a 2,500 gross tonnage in her 80 metre version.
Tankoa S801 will feature four decks plus a sun deck. An enormous main deck lounge will welcome guests aboard, while the five VIP cabins with in suite baths will be located in the fore part of the main deck to maximize silence and comfort (in line with the 70 metre design philosophy).
Code named “Golden Wings”, the S801 is Francesco Paszkowski’s vision of Italy’s famous ship, the Amerigo Vespucci. Her superstructure seems to be literally suspended in mid-air, an interpretation of how the sailing ship would appear if her rig was shifted aft.
At present the yard is working on S693 which will be delivered to her owner in July 2015. Also underway are the S701 and the S501 projects.
