Carbon Craft Inc has paid US$5.489m for waterfront property in Tampa, Florida. The property is current home to Lazzara Yachts.

The Tampa Bay Business Journal reported that Bank of America provided a US$4.4m mortgage for the transaction.

Carbon Craft co-owner Mark Levey told the paper that his company has decided to expand after strong response for a new model it launched at FLIBS. The model is a 16ft diesel tender. Levey said it received “tremendous” response from the show.

It is unclear whether Lazzara will remain on the property. Company officials did not respond to an email requesting clarification. Carbon Craft is currently in a small building on the property.

Rattlesnake Marine Center, a new yacht service center, will also set up operations on the same property. “There is no full-service yacht facility from the Panhandle to Fort Meyers,” Levey told the paper. “We can haul yachts as large as 120 feet. Our facility has a full furniture mill which is ideally suited for major refit of yachts.”
