Monaco’s Wally Yachts has received a substantial investment from Archimedia BVI to provide growth capital for the development of the Wally brand.
Wally president Luca Bassani, who founded the sail and motoryacht-builder in 1994, says: “We are excited that Archimedia, a value-added investor in the consumer sector, has decided to make this substantial investment in Wally. We believe Archimedia’s investment endorses the leading quality of our products and the tremendous potential of our brand.”
The investment provides Wally with a greater ability to develop new models and new markets. Since its inception in 1994, the company has launched 42 sailing yachts and more than 100 motorboats from its yard in Fano, Italy. Wally is now working on the construction of the world’s largest carbonfibre sailing cruiser, the Wally 50m.
Based in London, England, Archimedia creates and invests in consumer, technology and real estate brands. Its portfolio includes the Amanyara resort in the Turks & Caicos Islands, Carluccio’s in the UK and the forthcoming Aman Porto Heli resort in Greece.
