Camper & Nicholson Marinas (CNM) is expanding its portfolio with a major new development at Limassol in Cyprus. While the company has confirmed that a 10-year contract has been signed, they have not yet issued full details of the deal. A CNM spokeswoman at the company’s Malta head office told SBN that “the project is waiting for final planning permits which are due to be received in September and we have been asked to hold releasing more details until those approvals are received.”
The new marina is one of a number planned for Cyprus to expand facilities for both local and visiting yacht owners. The Limassol facility will be a full-service marina offering 600 berths for yachts between 8m-60m (26ft-197ft). In addition there will be a 100m (328ft)-long quay for berthing larger superyachts. The marina will include a dedicated superyacht area with boats mooring stern-on to quays or the breakwater. Full completion of the project is set for 2013.
In addition to the berths there will be a dry stack area for around 400 boats and a repair and maintenance workshop. The marina will have 24-hour security, refuelling and waste removal facilities. At each berth there will be fresh water supplies, electricity, TV, telephone, high-speed Internet and WiFi access. The development will include a number of high quality villas, a number of which will have dedicated berths included.
CNM already has a number of Mediterranean marinas including the Grand Harbour facility in Malta, Port Gocek and Cesme in Turkey and Port San Rocco, Italy. In addition it has a marina in Granada, in the Caribbean and one in Egypt.
